The following are the requirements for obtaining a marriage license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
When to apply:
Minimum of five business days and a maximum of 60 days prior to the marriage ceremony.
Where to apply:
Office of the Clerk of Orphan's Court of any County of Pennsylvania.*

What is required:
Applicants must be 18 years of age in order to apply.
Drivers license or photo ID for applicants.
Divorces: a certified copy of the divorce decree(s) must be presented.
Visas are required for citizens of another country
*Please remember for a wedding taking place in Pennsylvania,
you may obtain your marriage license anywhere within the state.

To obtain a marriage license in New Jersey:
Where to apply:
The marriage license application is to be made in the New Jersey municipality in which either party resides and the license is valid throughout the State of New Jersey.
If neither applicant is a New Jersey resident, submit the application in the municipality where the marriage ceremony will be performed, the license is only valid in the issuing municipality.
